University of Benin is a public university located in Benin City, the capital city of Edo State. The university was founded in 1970, and has two campuses, Ugbowo Campus and Ekehuan Campus. 

The University of Benin was previously known as the Institute of Technology. The current vice chancellor of the university is Professor Lillian Salami.

University of Benin school fees for the 2022/2023 academic session is different for science students and non science students. 

Fresh students are expected to pay a total fee of N 73,400 as a science student, and N 69,900 as a non science student. On the other hand returning students are expected to pay N 45,400 as a science student, and N 41,400 as a non science student.

Since its establishment, the state university has witnessed several name changes. It was initially known as Bendel State University, then subsequently changed to Edo State University, and finally to Ambrose Alli University in honor of its founder.

Edo State University, Uzairue

Edo State University is a state owned university located in Iyamho, in Etsako West local government area of Edo State in Nigeria. 

The university was established a few years after the Edo State House of Assembly passed a bill for the establishment of a University of Science and technology on the 27th of march 2014. The name was later changed to Edo State University, and was approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2016.
