Wilson Center Fellowship Description

The Wilson Center Fellowship is a transformative experience that turns enthusiastic people into change agents rather than merely being an academic endeavor. This fellowship, which has a history spanning more than 40 years, has continually supported academics, decision-makers, and practitioners by giving them the tools and stage they need to address important global issues. The Wilson Center Fellowship breaks down conventional barriers by establishing a lively community of thought leaders, inspiring its fellows to significantly impact their disciplines.

Through a global competition, The Wilson Center offers 9-month residential fellowships. Scholars, practitioners, journalists, and public intellectuals are cordially invited to take part in the center’s famous global Fellowship Program. Participants work on writing and research projects relating to their areas of expertise during the fellowship time while actively interacting with Washington-area officials, Wilson Center employees, and other resident scholars. The center is open to fellowship proposals that focus on pressing issues that the United States and the rest of the globe are facing, with a focus on policy relevance and a non-advocacy approach.
